No builder designs a home to have water in the basement. However, over the years, the foundation can shift, the membrane can crack or separate, water can seep into the landfill around your home, or the window wells can develop leaks. It can happen to any home.

From east to west the state rises some 6,000 ft (1,829 m) to Harney Peak (7,242 ft/2,207 m) in the Black Hills, highest point in the United States E of the Rockies.
